Japan Karate Association

JKA is the first official project I have worked on as the Lead developer. It's a little bit messy, considering being my first ever project on the field.

Context:

JKA was one of the projects of my former company. It was my first lead project as a young WordPress Developer. The design was made by the Company's CEO. I did mostly both the Front End and Back End, as well as taking responsibility for delegating tasks to team members.

This is where my Leadership skills were most challenged since it is actually my first time handling a team. I was also in charge of creating Work Breakdown Structures as well as daily reports, besides coding.

Project Details:

It is an overhaul of the old JKA website (plain HTML). This time it is powered by WordPress and Bootstrap 3. This website supports multi-language (Japanese/English) switching which proved to be one of the hardest obstacles back then with only a few members working on the project with enough experience on the tech.
